ZIP and Postal Code

For a Korean address, enter the five-digit postal code associated with the selected official result. A form may label this field ZIP, Postal Code or Postcode; that label does not require an invented US code.

Which value should I copy?

Korea's current area-based five-digit postal-code system has been used since August 1, 2015. Match the code to the exact road address and building number rather than choosing a similar-looking result.

Preserve all five digits

06346 must remain 06346, not 6346. Treat postal codes as text when moving them through spreadsheets or forms. Do not add a country prefix or hyphen such as KR-06346 or 063-46 unless the receiving service specifically requires it.

What if the form accepts only US ZIP codes?

Select South Korea first and check whether delivery or submission to Korea is supported. If the restriction remains, contact the service. Do not use a made-up number or US ZIP+4 format to bypass validation.

Final checks

Compare road and building number, any sub-number, basement indicator and building name when results differ. Verify five digits, the leading zero, the correct country and the saved value after autocomplete. The postal code cannot replace the rest of the address.
